Another step into the future of Shortycuts.

"Topics" is a smart way to follow lastest news topics you like based on your specified keywords. The keyword is then searched in the 10 lastest articles from each source.

How can I add topics?

It's easy! When you start the first time after you update Shorty News to version 2.0, it'll ask you two questions:

• How many topics do you want to follow?
• Which topic do you want to follow? (The number of questions here is based on the number of topics you answered in the question above.)

Surely, you can configure "Topics" later. You can add/delete news topics either in its menu or in the settings.

Browse

For those who want to look up a topic and don't want to follow it, we offer you the opportunity to browse them. Just enter the keyword here.

Introducing ROP's Design

You can't find only the ROP's beautiful menu design in his well-known shortcuts like MergeCuts or 1Backup. This design has already been taken over to other shortcut creators. Now, also in Shortycuts! Don't worry, the old icon menu is still available.

Introducing Reader Tools

Shorty News' Reader become more independent and user-friendly with Reader Tools. It enables you the way to set the Reader's apperance based on your wishes. You can change the font size and also the design of the Reader temporarily

Embed-a-Update meets Shortycuts

With the redesigned and tweaked 'Embed-a-Update' shortcut, Shorty News become more independent. The updater is design-oriented to make your experience of Shorty News even better and more comfortable. Special thanks to ROP, who makes the beautiful download template of this updater.

What is Embed-a-Update?

Embed-a-Update is an intergrated updater shortcut. It checks for updates of Shorty News on the shortcut provider platform RoutineHub, so you'll always be up-to-date and never miss an update.

Why does Shortycuts integrate Embed-a-Update instead of Swing Updater [E]?

Swing Updater [E] has been replaced, because Shorty News is going to be independent of any updaters with a third-party developer. Embed-a-Update enables the opportunity to develop it with ideas and concepts of any developer, so it has no copyright. The customization and the further development is free for everyone. That's why some new updates and improvements will follow in the future.
